Decorating your windows

Doll house windows comes in different styles and sizes. You can install either a working or non- working window in your doll house. Working windows are more elaborate than non-working windows and cost twice the cost of the non-working window. Always keep all the parts of the windows together.

Difficulty: Easy

Time Required: More than two hours

Here's How:

Working windows: Working windows provide a more realistic look to your doll house. These windows are double hung and can slide from top to down and from bottom to up. You can place an air conditioner in the window or curtain to feel cool breeze. Working windows provide much exterior décor option for your doll house. They come in both single as well as side-by-side double working windows. You can have window based on contemporary design or with a modern look. You can have your window as per your requirements also.

Non-working windows: Non-working windows come in many styles and sizes. The biggest advantage is the lesser cost of the window as compared with working windows. Although they are different in applications, they still have a similar appearance. Non-working windows can be removed easily from the fitting and this makes it easier to paint. Non-working windows, like its counterpart, comes in both contemporary and modern design. Some of the fancier styles are available in both the working and non-working variety.

Tips:

  • All windows should be painted prior to installation.
  • Remember to keep all the parts of the window together, as each may vary slightly.
  • The window should be flush with the interior wall to allow for trimming.
  • The hardware should be glued on the window before installing it.
